How do I use the panning feature of the recorder?

You have to activate 'Manual Panning' for each of your advanced views. (It's explained in the 'Manual.pdf')

In short-when in an advanced spot or tower view:

Recorder>Advanced (Spot or Tower) Views>Edit XXXX View---activate [X] Manual Panning

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.
