How to edit the landing gear 'specs'?

Postby Galm1 » Sat Feb 17, 2007 7:14 pm

Hello!

I would like to know how to edit the landing gear, specially the tire  :) Well... for only ONE plane... when it touches the ground it "jumps" a bit, and continues "kicking" like a basket ball  :-/ A lot until the plane reaches 50knots, that's bad because it's my favorite add-on for FS2004... it doesn't happen in any other aircraft as I know... all the others can be landed perfectly, except for this one!

If anyone know how to fix this problem, please tell me  :)

Thanks in advance.

HI Galm.......you will have to open the aircraft.cfg which is in the folder of the plane you are working on. Find the contact points area and change the values of the bits highlighted in the pic. The top one is the nose gear and the other two the main gear. Notice they are often negative numbers so just remember that when deciding on your new values...for example....changing -4 to -5 will LIFT the wheels. Small changes first and just feel your way. Make a copy of the file before you start then you can't get into trouble........good luck.......commoner ;)
