Stuttering

Postby pepper_airborne » Mon Feb 12, 2007 7:53 am

I have a problem, it has been since a while like this and i cant remember what may have caused it.

When i fly in FS, no matter what plane, or with/without AI or mulitplayer, it just hangs every few seconds, the images, the sound, everything. Anybody has a idea what could be causing this? I turend the Avance AC97 audiodrivers down to basic acceleration, tryed closing the explorer. But nothing works.

When it freezes, have a look at your Hard Drive light...
If it is flickering it means that you have insufficient memory in place, and the program is forced to spool data off the hard drive instead of fast memory, causing the program to freeze/stutter... :(...!

2 GB+ of memory for FS9 will make all the difference... ;)...!

Paul... 8-)...!
Win 8.1 64-bit. DX11. Advent Tower. Intel i7-3770 3.9 GHz 8-core. 8 GB System RAM. AMD Radeon HD 7700 1GB RAM. DVD ROM. 2 Terra Byte SATA Hard Drive. Philips 17" LCD Monitor. Saitek Cyborg X Fly-5 Joystick. ...and a Briggs and Stratton Petrol Lawn Mower.

The 'every few seconds" thing sounds like some other program using resources.

Well... you narrowed it down a lot.

Now stop them one at a time and then start flight sim up ....and find the culprit
