Some kinda problem...

Postby JDawgluc » Thu Feb 01, 2007 4:33 pm

Hey everyone... ^^ I own a copy of MFS 04, and it seems I have a problem... And i know its not my joystick because it does the same thing when i fly with a keyboard... When I begin to accelerate down the runway, the plane suddenly begins to sway or turn to the left, sometimes the right... and when i get it in the air, the problem doesn't seem to exist anymore... But there was a few times when i was on approach on a smaller grass runway in a Cessna Skyhawk, going at quite a slow airspeed, the plane did begin to fly at an angle, yet i don't know if it was a problem or heavy winds... XD But i was flying on another flight with different weather, and i was on approach with the same runway, it did it again... I think it might be related to the "swaying" problem as well... Ive tried alot of things, but it seems nothing works... The swaying problem is even worse on the smaller aircraft, as a plane "the jenny for example" accelerates, it'll sway violently usually towards the left, and it keeps on doing donuts in the grass and or runway until i pick up enough speed to actually take off... Can anybody help me on this issue? "this is a really nice place by the way, nice site!"  ;)

If your joystick is calibrated correctly, the left turning tendancy that you're experiencing may be due to torque, p-factor, ect. If you go into the realism settings, you can turn those settings down if you wish...

Hi,

Esselbach is right, if your in props, it's prop torque - try the take off in a jet & I bet it won't happen.

There's a detailed description of what causes prop torque here: http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb2 ... 840690/1#1

Hope this helps,

TSC.

hehe, I never had alot of experience as a pilot, soo, I'm a beginner... XD Thanks for the info on gyro... It was quite helpful, and if its a realism setting, I'm not going to turn it down, might as well get used to it cause I'm planning on having a future carrier as a pilot... Thanks again! ^^
