are the aircraft carriers in FS landable without any other addon.

The ones that come pre-installed into the game, I'm not sure. Can't say I've tried though  ;D

All of the addon ones that I am aware of work though (I highly recommend the "Waikato" package). They won't do the carrier ops themselves, which is where the RCBco gauges come in  ;)

Download the second to last file on that page "FS 2004 CarrierOps Full Pack", and it will include a few planes, the Waikato carrier mentioned above, and the files required to actually do a "trap" on the carrier  :)

I can tell you one thing, I tried to land on the one just off the coast of San Fancisco.... it doesn't work. I can't beleive they couldn't make the deck landable.

The only default carrier I can remember off the top of my head is the one off the coast of San Francisco ;)

I've landed a Cessna 182, a Beech Baron, and even a C-130 on the carrier lying off San Francisco.  It can be done.

...you are obviously not trying hard enough... ;)...!

It is one of the most favourite, land-able, Aircraft Carriers in the Flight Simulators.... ;)...!

...with care, you can also land in the "Lower" flight deck in the 'Frisco Carrier... ;)...!

yep, been able to land a seafire on the san fransisco carrier without any addon programs (although because the brakes suck i was teetering right on the edge.)  :o
