P-51D V2 problems

Postby dodger » Wed Jan 17, 2007 10:40 pm

Hi. Anyone had an installation problem with the P-51D Ver.2.0 on Vintage page 74 (FS-9)? It's a self-installer, which I've never had a problem with before, but this one just disappears into the hard drive somewhere. I can't even find the major files in Explorer,  just the odd AIR, MDL, and cfg. files in the main FS9 directory. Did it twice - no change. The downloaded file seems to be OK, although I can't really tell due to the self-installer. Any ideas? :-[

Hi...you could simply make a new folder on your desktop and point the installer to that. Then rename the new folder  P_51D and copy and paste or drag and drop it to your Aircraft folder... By the way there is no 2D cockpit with this aircraft a suitable one is recommended in the readme file .....just download it and swap the panel folder for the one already in the aircraft. Either overwrite the original or rename it panelorig......commoner ;)

lol...yes I know the feeling.....I swear mine is in reverse at times...........

I couldn't find that panel here on SimV but found it eventually by Googling around.......When you do find it, and it is out there, just open the Zip and take out the panel folder then put it into the P51 folder you just made......overwrite the panel folder that is there already. This new panel includes the V panel and any mods needed.........commoner. ;)

Should you not be able to find it I will pm the link I have to it. 8-)
