Joystick function assignment issues

Postby woejrs2 » Tue Jan 16, 2007 10:06 am

Running FS2004 or FS-X Demo, I only have function on X&Y axes and Hat controls. All other buttons and the throttle slid are non-functional.  This includes assigned keyboard controls. I sit on the runway with engine at full throttle and brakes locked. I have installed 3 different controls, 1 serial and 2 USB with the same results.  All three calibrate through Windows and the games.  All control functions appear active and correctly assigned, for both controllers and keyboard. I have unassigned and reassigned functions several times without improvement. I'm Windows XP PRO SP2 with DirextX v9.0c with USB 2.0 capacity.

I am using a wireless Logitec keyboard & mouse and all of these controllers function flawlessly on another flight sim program I run.

Have you tried deleting the 'FS9 CFG' file yet? That often clears up these bizarre problems...

What joystick do you use?
I know you've tried 3, how old are they?
Rottydaddy has a good point to start with.
