Postby ctanner » Fri Jan 05, 2007 10:48 pm

Just upgraded computer and reloaded FS2004, now on startup it wants me to put disc 4 in CD player, previously it always loaded with no problem, any ideas will be welcome, thanks

Did you apply the official patch?

I don't remember if that removes the need for disk 4 or not.I am thinking without it the sim always ask me for the disk, even after 9.1. I could be wrong though. Some info on the page, it might tell. I use a no-cd. I just always changed the exe after install/patch.

The solution is simple, do as the programme directs and insert cd4 in the cd drive. :'(

FS9 WANTS the disk n 4 to work in a drive. It's a stupid attempt from M$ to stop piracy. I call it stupid because it doesn't stop anything and only annoys the honest people who bought regularly the program, hence IS stupid.

...look in your PM box.

No problem at all, and yes, you got it correctly right. :)
