Addon gauge problems

Postby alb469 » Mon Dec 18, 2006 10:22 am

After a reinstall and update to 9.1,when trying to add some gauges problems happen. For example when adding a digital trim gauge from my old gauge folder that was saved from my original FS9, the forward view looked like I was in a thick fog. That was solved when a new file for the gauge was downloaded and installed. Then I installed the runway roll gauge which had just been downloaded now when the A/C it is installed in is selected with "fly now" it boots me out to the desktop! The old FS9 had been saved and still works minus what was missing. I am missing something in the new install but what? Has anyone any ideas on what is wrong or missing. :'(

It sounds as if it is missing a dll file try comparing your old module file with the new one . 8-)

Well I have tried ghecking all folders against tho old FS9 I had saved and no luck, Have D/L and installed runway roll 4 times, same problem.I think it must be something that had been on my C drive that was removed on the reformat, what stayed on D drive still works ok. Could it be something in the FS9 cfg or whatever else MS in their wisdom says  must go into C drive? I am stumped can anyone help!   :'(

If youre are using IE7, go back to IE6. 7 is just a junkyard.

Problem finally solved! I was missing the sound dll from the FS9 folder. I was installing a panel and the read me mentioned that the system would crash unless the sound dll was put in that folder. Now the add on gauge "runwayroll" is working. why the dll  was not put in on the reinstall I dont know unless it is not on the discs. :)  8-)
