Hi,  I'm fairly new to FS9, so I am only taking up about 2.7 Gigs, even with all my upgrades.  I have a solid 160 Gig Hard Drive, so I am looking forward to filling it up.

I can't remember how big my FS9 directory is, but it was somewhere between 10-20 gigs. I'm not the type of person to download and keep every new addon out there for the sake of having it. I usually only downloaded aircraft that I was interested in, and scenery for an area that I often fly around. I was picky with my aircraft, so If I didn't like it or didn't fly it, I didn't keep it. I tended to stick with only a couple dozen aircraft. I was constantly modifiying, and personalizing aircraft, and making it my own personal aircraft.

Just did a major weeding a few days ago. I have my aircraft down to about seven that I fly regularly and I'm down to about 6GB. All I need really.

:o mine is only 23 GB.  although like flyboy I probably only fly about 10 of them.  I thought mine was big.  On my old rig with it's puny 60gb hd FS2002 took up nearly 18 gb, at one point, my downloaded files, Star Trek Bridge Commander and Flight simulator each had there own, nearly full, partition; by the time I got this rig, I was deleting planes that I don't fly to make room for more that I probably only flew once a piece.  fortunately my new machine has a 200GB SATA capable HD and room for three more.
