Once flew Cutters Goose from Hanks Trading Post in Alaska to Virgin Gorda in the Caribbean, that was a really nice trip, took a few weeks flying hops about twice a week.

This was the main part of the trip:

From Florida I flew down through The Keys & on to the Caribbean.

Cheers,

I remember that one, TSC

Last night I crossed the Atlantic again, KLGA to EGCC in a US Airways A330-300.  Im probably going to continue from there and go around the world again, taking another A330 to Israel and then go back to LGA throught VHHH and KSFO

rootbeer,

If your plane porpoises around over 4X, the plane's dynamics aren't what they should be. You can improve this particular problem by increasing the pitch stability value in the [flight_tuning] section of the aircraft.cfg file.

Don't forget to make a back-up first.

My bird jumps all over the place only when climbing. If I ascend to a flight level and then click on the AP with HDG, ALT and GPS also clicked on, it will cruise along smooth and steady. At 16X, you see every little rise and fall in altitude and change in directioin as a short, sharp jerk. Still, it's cool to see the terrain rip along underneath you at over 2000 knots...

Ya, alot of the maneuvers look funny, and sometimes with big wind shifts the plane starts undulating up and down to hold altitude.

Omg---- that's looong..... the longest I've ever done is Amsterdam-Lima in a KLM MD-11... It feels great when you finally land..... or in the approach you think... damn... al these hours... I shall make the perfect landing!!

I love taking long flights, except when I try to get all realistic and use ATC and stick with flight plans perfectly, since I tend to run up the speed to 16X between VORs, and if I yawn or get distracted for a second, and I get an instruction from ATC, it takes about 5 seconds for them to get through the initial instruction, the two "please acknowledges", and the final "IFR Flight Plan Cancelled, ATC Services Terminated." So if I havent saved my flight in a while, I have to file a whole new flight plan. Either that or simulate an emergency and hobble to the nearest airport, lol.
Not quite certain about  my longest flight, probably Anchorage to Phoenix. Thaw out those Eskimos ;)

Man, I wish I could do this. FS9 usually crashes before I can fly very far. I did JFK to UKBB Kiev ( I visit Ukraine often) but I only completed the trip twice...all other attempts failed, with fs9 freezing up and giving me a black screen or just stopping dead. I'd try it more often if I had a reasonable chance of success,  but crashes like this are too frequent. So I'm really limited to shorter trips. There are other long range trips I'd do also.  But almost everywhere, fs9 freezes up at some point.
