Nick, thanks for your time and expertise. Through trial and error, I have arrived at most of the settings you have listed, although I didnt let the FS9.cfg rebuild before editing, so that is next.  Whenever I have reinstalled video drivers, I have never changed the motherboard drivers, so who knows if I have problems on that end.  While I am computer sensible, I am by knows means savvy.  Just to give some more info my system specs are as follows:

Intel 865 PE Pent 4 at 2.6 ghz
800 mhz front side bus
Soyo Dragon Plus 2 motherboard
1.5 G of Corsair 3200 extreme memory
80 G WD hard drive at 7200
9600 Pro

Nick, I have tried to reset the latency on the card, but every time I have done so the sim stutters alot more than normal.  Are there other variables that I should  correct after adjusting the setting?

Also, my memory modules are at different latency settings, but my Bios doesnt allow me to change them.  Will this effect performance?

Thanks, Todd

Nick, thanks again for all the advice.  I think my memory may be limited by the different settings.  It says it is 400 mhz on the module, but when I run the test it says 200mhz.  I was wondering if you have to run in dual channel to get the 400 mhz?  I have three mem slots on the motherboard and it says to use slots A and C to run dual channel, yet it doesnt seem to make a difference.  Maybe because the module in slot A is a gig and the one in C is 512.  Do they have to be matched?  Sorry for all the questions, you must be a very patient person as this probably seems like elementary level stuff for you.  I wish you could come to my house and spend an hour or two fixing my rig, that would be the best investment I could make.  Well, thanks again and Ill report back after some changes.  Todd

Thanks Nick, I have suspected that for a while now.  Off to get another stick.  Dont expect a huge improvement, but one less bottleneck to worry about.  Todd
