Postby jimm57 » Wed Oct 18, 2006 12:19 pm

Just downloaded the Piper PA31 Mojave here at SimV, and its a nice plane to fly...but there's NO PILOT in the cockpit! I guess its really remote flying from my desktop, eh?? :P

There's no pilot because the creator (Brett_Henderson) didn't put one in.  Does it really matter, you should be in the cockpit, shouldnt you? ;)

I prefer planes without a person sitting in it, since most designers are unable to do it correct - red, crappy textured out of proportion looking persons.

It also leaves a bit to my own imagination, wich i quite like :).

Not that I ever have the patience to build models complex enough to worry about poygon counts.. but a GOOD human model can add quite a few..

Actually.. I'm just too lazy to make the pilot..

Or is it that I'm so politically correct that I'd have to make the pilot switchable from male to female, by some weird animation and a hot-key (tailhook maybe ? (kidding))..

Seriously,,  It's the lazy thing.  Building, animating and texturing a realistic pilot is way more work than it's worth..

Of course.. I used to say that about virtual cockpits, too   ;)

lol, mind you that i refuse to fly any aircraft that neglects a VC. It's a basic requirement for a aircraft in my oppinion.
