I made my first fs video!

However, It uses someone elses music that I took from a cd.

Even though I included the music in the credits, should I still contact the author for permission before I upload it to youtube?

If it's a fully licensed song by a big time band, I'm pretty sure you can use it without permission, as it could be seen as free advertising for them  ;D If it's a small local band, asking permission to use it would probably be a good thing, though I doubt many will mind
