FSNAV Problem

I have just downloaded FSNAV and there are a couple of small things i don' understand.

1/ what is the little arrow that is on the flightplan route ahead of the aircraft it keeps moving up and down the line.

2/ Can the flight plan route be displayed on the default GPS instead of having FSNAV window open.

3/ can FSNAV be programmed to fly your flightplan including an ILS approach right down to a landing?

1/ what is the little arrow that is on the flightplan route ahead of the aircraft it keeps moving up and down the line.

The arrow you talk about indicates where your airplane will reach the new altitude selected in the AP, note that "the arrow" as you call it, only appears while you're climbing or descending

2/ Can the flight plan route be displayed on the default GPS instead of having FSNAV window open.

Export the current flight plan in FS2004 format and file it in the simulator, so you'll have it on GPS.

3/ can FSNAV be programmed to fly your flightplan including an ILS approach right down to a landing?

FSnav can be used as a FMC, so I think it's possible, though I never used it that way, you'll have to learn to use it that way on your own, though. Sorry.

I have also noticed that a arrow will appear to show high wind gusts at the location you are at with the arrow pointing the direction it is blowing to not from.

Just looking at #3 when you enter the destination airport zoom in on it and you will find that the information is contained at the "tower".

Leave the destination as the final marker and move to the end of the runway that you wish to land on and create a point(it should identify the runway). Move back from that point to an intersection in line with the runway to set up an approach to the runway. When you fly you can use that to fly until you are just off the runway. If you overfly the runway position and you are still on A/P you will head towards the "tower"

When you arrive in the vicinity of the airport check ATIS for any change in approach. If you need to change the runway you can create another point and delete the previous points by opening FSNav to full screen and editing at the top of the page. If you create a standalone point you can click and hold the cursor and drag the point to a new position. Get your approach set up and you will have enough time to make changes if needed.

Clear as mud?? Don't worry open up FSNav and have a play. There is also an option to have A/P without autothrottle which can be helpful.
