RWY12 Install confusion.

Postby alb469 » Mon Jan 30, 2006 1:53 pm

We have D/L all four files and have read the install instructions many times but we are still confused. The three librarys install seem pretty simple, but the first program that makes the librarys work has me lost. Can someone explain it to me.Thanks for any help. It must be old age catching up.

Create a desktop shortcut to 'ObjectPlacer.exe' located in the 'Rwy12' subfolder.

You must download and install the 3 third-party programs as specified in the install instructions, for the program to work.

For further questions on Rwy12 visit the Scenery & Panel Design Forum; http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=scn

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

Thanks Dave. Will give it a try. I am assuming because my FS9 is installed in D drive that the program will go there under program files. Is that correct?

My Rwy12 install works just fine. (and has done so for the past year-or-so). May I suggest lurking at the Rwy12 Forum and registering for FREE if you choose.

I worked across drives using WIN3.0; WIN3.1 and WIN98. When WIN-ME came out I vowed never to work across drives again. IMO, it's more trouble than it's worth.

My FS9 was installed the day-it-came-out on a new WIN-XP machine using just the one drive: C:

P.S. I can still use all my installed Rwy12 Libraries with EZ-Scenery -- cool.

Where you put Rwy12 is really up to you, depending only on how you like to organize your drives. Rwy12 doesn't really care.

When you begin creating with Rwy12 you can select the location where you wish to save the files created.

OK We got it now. That was my last point of confusion, wasnt sure if it was a seperate program or was installed in FS9 to work in conjunction with it. Thanks again. :)
