Hey i have a problem i have seemed to of misplace my fs2004 disk 4 do i actually need it for the installation or is it just for running fs9 whereas if it is for running i can get a no cd crack

You need disk for for installation and running. Dont talk about no cd cracks here, SimV likes to stay legal.

if so, why is it available for download here? i use it myself because i'm too lazy to reach up on the shelf, open the tin, pull out the disk, open the slot, put the disk in, wait for the drive to read it, and then open the game.  ;D

I did find the 'no CD crack' on the net somewhere and use it myself. I DO have the full 4 disk copy and only use it to save my CD drive spinning all the time. However, I do understand the position of this forum. The simulator is designed to run only with a genuine disk instaled to try and combat piracy and that must be respected.

Yes you do need disk 4 to complete the install.
