Screen goes black

I'm rolling down the runway for takeoff, and all of a sudden, the screen goes black, and I get the dreaded error messages.  >:(

Can anyone help me?

There are many reasons, but I need more details.  What error message?  or was it the blue screen.

The usual one that says "FS9.exe has encountered a problem, and needs to close."

have you installed any addons lately that might  be causing this?

sometimes reinstalling FS might be needed, sad but true

It's a graphics issue. Are you flying a more complex AC than usual when it happens or have more weather loaded? My system is quite weak on graphics and it's not an unuasual occurance for me.

It's probably that. I was taking off from PANC at sunrise, and I think it might be something there causing that (i had no clouds, with default weather settings and visibility at 10 or 20 miles.
