Keyboard...when will you folks learn to use the keyboard? :P ::) ;D ;D

yeah, right... ::)
I'd like to shake the hand of anybody who can properly enjoy FS with keyboard alone... then again, maybe I wouldn't want to shake their hand; prob'ly lots of extra digits!

I remember flying fs5 (or was it 6?) on a PC that could barely run even that, using just the keyboard. I was already a RL student pilot, and it was maddening to try to handle the C172 with keyboard alone.
Still pretty mind-blowing for me at thhe time, though!

Tempted to buy those pedals, but I've come too far with my homemade-pedal project to give up now...

Usually I'll fly fighters or GA. 8)

Well I know where you are comming from Woozy. I used to play car games (well I still do a tiny weenie bit) and for years I used the keyboard and mastered it. I really mean MASTERED it. We then got an expensive wheel and pedals which was really exciting. I tried to use it, but it just wouldn't come. My brother also tried and he just couldn't change to it either. We had to go back to the keyboard. FS on the other hand was different and the control on the keyboard is very slow and late as well as inaccurate. A joystick keeps your mind centered as to how the plane is flying. You can pick up sticks ever so cheap, but if you have used the keyboard for donkeys years and have really got to grips with it (if that's possible in FS9 - I struggle to see it::) ) then perhaps you are best sticking to the keys.
