like Hagar stated the best way to add scenery or aircraft is one file at a time then check to make sure everything is ok before proceding with the next file.
I know it is a pain in the %#@ but it is the only way to weed out the little kinks in some scenery and aircraft files.
Also check to make sure none of your AI aircraft are flyable models as some of these can really hit frame rates hard. Which is why I only use PAI files because the aircraft are made for AI and not mean to be flown.
