fs 2004 doesn't open

attempt to run fs2004 fails. startup indicates scenery index loading at 9% then task manager indicates program not responding. tm process has multiple e5d141.tmp image names. please advise.

Try removing the fs9.cfg file. That fixes almost 80% of FS startup problems. Just remove it from it's folder and restart the sim. The sim will build a new file. You'll have to redo all your settings in the sim.

If that fixes things you can also save a copy of the latest working fs9.cfg as fs9.cfg_bak then you can substitute that when you have problems so you won't have to change settings.
