Missing Instruments

Postby Formula_1 » Sat Oct 22, 2005 10:24 am

Hi everyone

I installed the Project Open Sky CRJ-200ER found in the FS9 Civil Jets section page 132.
I did as the readme says and placed the  POSKY CRJ-200 Skywest (Delta) in the Aircraft folder of FS9

In VC I have no instruments. The pannel and cockpit is visable, just nothing showing on the LCD's?

One thing I have found. In the readme it has this;
For those wanting to use a different panel, don't forget to copy the virtual cockpit ("vcockpit 01 - 04") sections from the included panel.cfg, into your new panel.cfg.

When I open the panel.cfg all I see is this;
[fltsim]
alias=lear45\panel

In 2D, I do have the Lear45 panel visable.

Is the panel.cfg  that comes with the plane incomplete?
Do I need to get another file somewhere in order to have a fully functional VC?
If so, could someone please give me a link to it?

Thanks for any help :)

Is there a gauge folder in the zip file  ???
If so you need to copy and paste those into either the fs9 gauges folder, or in the panel folder of the aircraft itself.....

Heya Formula_1,

Welcome to SimV!

You are absolutely correct in that this aircraft Panel.cfg is indeed "aliased" to the default Learjet 45.  I checked by downloading the same Delta CRJ aircraft.  If "Some People" (no names here) had read your post carefully they would have seen that you did say that the Panel.cfg is aliased to the Learjet and wouldn't have you looking for some non-existant "Gauges" file.

Please shoot me a quick E-Mail (I go to work later this evening) using the E-Mail address listed in my SimV Member's Profile and I'll set you up with a Reply and attachment for the gauges and instructions you will need.

Hi mate

Yes, I got your reply, unfortunitly the files were corrupt.
Winzip, Winrar and 7z all say they can't open it.
I think this is my fault though, I had my security settings to not allow attachments. I did get your text with the instructions and the panel you suggested, only the attachment failed.
Could you please try again?
I have my setting to now allow attachments, so hopefully that will cure the problem.

If it is too much of a hastle, no worries.
I got the plane because we have one flying out of our local airport (about a mile from my home and I work right beside the airport). The Skywest Delta is an exact model. It didn't do very well and service ends on Nov 30th. It was just kinda cool to be able to fly a model of the same plane out of Hickory to Atlanta, hehe.
On a side note, there is also a F-86 based here. The guy had it out today as a matter of fact. Now that is really cool to see! He normally flies it a couple times a month. No mistaking the sound of it and I rush out of the house everytime I hear it. lol.

Same thing :'(
Thank you for trying.
I have no idea what is causing it.
I think I will to contact the auther and let him know the VC isn't in the file. Maybe he can update it. Based on the readme, he did plan for the VC to be there.

Anyway, thanks for all you did to try to help. I really appreciate it.

EDIT:
Man I am a real pain in the butt.
I went to Project Open Sky website and there is the plane, with the VC working correctly. I am so sorry I troubled you for nothing.
