Well, I adjusted the line in FS9.cfg to read Radeon 9000; it had previously said NVIDIA drivers (my old card). This, however, did not help. As for my system specs, I'm not sure of the point of listing them, cause FS9 was working perfectly with my old GeForce card. I'll give SP2 a try, hopefully that works. Thanks for your help.
Did you strip the machine with stuff like drivercleaner when you switched over to the Radeon from NVidea? ATI cards are VERY sensitive to old stuff left in the system. Also... did you do a SINGLE install of the Radeon stuff..... or did you end up doing it more than once?
Updating Radeon drivers is a project! You have to do it exactly correctly....or they tend to screw up.
I just uninstalled the NVIDIA ones, and put the Radeon ones in...although by now I've installed them a few times, checking different drivers and the like. I'm sure there's quite a mix going on in there. What's that, drivercleaner? Never heard of it before.
You might want to consider the odds of formatting and reinstalling from scratch against the headaches of trying to solve an issue that could be related to old driver conflicts.
My system specifications: FLIGHT SIMULATOR 2004 - AMD Athlon 64 3200+ CPU - 3 GB PC-3200 DDR400 dual channel RAM - 500 GB Seagate B
