MS is dominating the FS world...it's like their monopoly...so I highly doubt MS will ever stop making FS... 8) ;)

Stay with FS2004, skip FS2006 and do some proper development and research, come back in 2010 with a product that really shines.  Around my local airport there are more trees than in rain forrest and more skyscrapers in my local town than LA and New York together.   Oh yer, and don't forget "talk down" in the next version.

2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

Work they're butt off on 2006 and come up with much better land.  OR, wait til 2010, and come up with a completely new system, something more like LOMAC, and more system friendly.  Halo PC came out with such bad programming, the lowerend systems could'nt handle it very well.  Let's hope Microsoft can stay away from Gearbox for some time.

I really want to see a proper global model which allows real great-circle navigation.

They should get a copy of FS2004, then hide away in a secretive area (i.e. Area 51) with the best PC graphics designers the world and come out in two years with the finished result  ;D

I just recently got back into MSFS after a long hiatus. Don't remember what version I last used but as I recall it came on floppies and required a clean DOS boot to run.

Needless to say I see some great improvements with FS2004, the best I have found so far is the real time flight instructor.  Taught me I was doing a lot of things wrong.

I would like to see more realistic ground scenery in the next version.  Except for airports,  FS2004 doesn't seem much better in that respect than the DOS version.  Would be nice if they would team up with Google Earth but I know that isn't going to happen because Microsoft and Google are direct competitors  in many respects.

BTW: If you havn't tried Google Earth and your machine and connection are fast enough you must.  It is amazing!

Doesn't matter to me. I won't be around from summer 2006 to sometime in 2008 ;)

Lol! I am feeling this way too. I have never seen so much disatisfaction of FS9 in any of the other versions. Guilty of it myself too - but there we are. ;D
