Colour problem in fullscreen

I'm having a problem with my colours in FS2004 in full screen mode. They become washed out and dull. I've tried turning up the colour and brightness on my graphics card, but no use. Whenever i put the sim into a window, or minimise it my colours are fine. I've tried changing some of the hardware settings but still have no idea. This only started happening today, and nothing has been changed. can anyone help?

don't worry, i've fixed the problem. My fullscreen 3d application colour settings on my graphics card were wrong.
