Just a little idea..

Wouldn't it be nice if MS would recruit some nice freeware designers like Team KBT or something like that who can make really excellent planes to start with?

Just an idea..

Agreed. They really need to work on many of their flight models, as I dont think that a 747 can have the roll rate of a Stermen. And mabe not freeware. Hell shoot for the stars, lets get Aerosoft, PMDG and  Flight 1. With a combination of these three companies alone we could have a beautiful sim out of the box, and it would be hard to try and find things to midify.

I agree that such a sim with such aircraft would be absolutely great... and the pricetag would be the combined pricetag of say... three pieces of really good payware ...so well over $100 USD.

It works now for M$ because those that want and can AFFORD payware can add it.... and those that can't afford it stick with the base sim...and/or add freeware enhansements.  This model works very well all thiongs considered.

Microsoft has to make money,....... that is what they are in BUSINESS for.   ;)

best,

Do'ya think 2006 will have Smooth Gauges technology as standard.. I sure hope so.. then we can fly from the VC all the time..  ;D

Many things are right with FS2004, but the most significant improvement for FS2006 is for realstic undulating runways.

Microsoft have made every runway perfectly pool-table flat.  That is about us unrealstic as you can get.  So top of my wish list is to introduce some terrain elements to the runways.  In reality it is not uncommon to be lined up for take off, yet be unable to see the end of the runway as it is "over the horizon".

This should be possible without a significant hit on frame rates etc.
