The key cmds can only get you so far from the cockpit.  On planes with large cabins, F1view is good.

I don't buy payware (cept maybe that Catalina, if I ever get around to buying it), so I cant comment on Active Camera.

I bought both Active Camera and Walk and Follow so I can comment on both of the payware modules.
They both have their own advantages and disadvantages.
I like the Flyby of Active camera which is missing in Walk and Follow.
I had a problem with the scenery with Active camera, and if you're not very careful with it, you can crash FS with it.
I like the stability of Walk and Follow and the ability to tilt the camera.
I also like the ability to save the viewpoints for each aircraft, so if you have an aircraft with a virtual cabin, you can move yourself to ,say, a passenger seat, and save the view point there so you can go back to it any time you want.
The interface is a little easier to use with Walk and Follow, if it had a flyby view, I would like this one alot better.
If I knew about them both and had to choose one, I would choose Walk and Follow.
Hope this helps with the payware camera modules.
