older better?

Postby ad2000 » Wed Jul 13, 2005 11:42 am

greetings from the far east  :)First of all...would like to thank fellow simmers in this forum for providing valuable infos, knowledges and tips on FS9 for beginners like me.

I have an IfDG Md-11 with the excellent freeware ACS MD-11 panel add-ons and also a registered fsuipc ver 3.4.8 along with it. Lately my FS9 keeps crashing my desktop on start-up  :(so I had to uninstall everything and start from scratch again. After that the TCAS and WX radar function for the ACS panel and even the F-16 radar by E. Marciano for my C-130 fail to function ???.

I tried every possible solution I can think of at the time..uninstall and reinstall back FS9 and the same procedure to install the panel. Then as a last resort after many sleepless hour trying to figure out where I went wrong, I replaced the latest version of Fsuipc with version 3.4.0 and it works ;D.

I need some feedback and maybe some explanation on my problem from all the gurus here. I find it strange and I can't find a logic reason behind it because previously it was ok using the latest fsuipc version . F.Y.I. I never updated my Fs9 with the Fs9.1 patch.

Thank you guys

Wow youve got the registered version and still no joy with the radar? Interesting.

Guess so..as I mentioned... it worked perfectly fine before I had problems with my fs9 and had to do a clean install. It is after I reinstall everything I have these strange problems..so my guess the problem is not about registered version since even if u replace with an older version, u can still use ur original registration key ::)

You might need to try and find the original FSUIPC in the registry and delete it as the machine might think there is a conflict (XP is fussy like that) ;)

If you look here (http://forums.simflight.com/viewtopic.p ... 895837fa1d) you will find the registration key for the F16 radar gauge. Fill 'F16.gau' in the program box and the key in the key boxes, and then FSUIPC will recognise the radar gauge.

Theoretically! It worked for me.

thank you for all the response and feedbacks :). Maybe my english is not that good to explain my situation ..sorry for that:-[. Anyway I am using a registered version fsuipc but the only thing is I wonder why fsuipc.dll version 3.4.8 used to work for me but not now after I did a complete clean reinstal. Currently only fsuipc.dll version 3.4.0 works for me. Maybe I will delete everything again and reinstall FS9 from scratch again. Do I have to delete all the files in C:\Documents and Settings\userx\Application Data\Microsoft\FS9 again to reinstall?
