Does the downloading of planes slow the game?

Postby sunlord_clave » Sun Jul 03, 2005 10:56 am

Just wanted to hear everyone's opinion on this. I always thought downloading custom planes would mess up the game.

However, if you mean downloading DURING the Simulator is going, probably, as it would take up a lot of RAM.  At least, for my computer.

High_Flyer, I doubt anyone would be doing ANYTHING else when the simulator is running let alone downloading from the interweb. :P

I've done that. I'm on dial-up, so downloading almost anything takes a long time. It didn't seem to slow the game down much at all.

You'd be suprised how many people do. There was a tweak going around that turned your Kneeboard into a web browser so on long flights you can surf the web.

You would be amazed what people get up to when it comes to running programs in the background whilst running a game at the same time.....
Not a very good idea if you want "speed/smoothness" in the game... ;)...!

Paul....strange things happen in the Interweb... ;D...!
