Joystick Problems

Postby romaruk » Mon Jun 27, 2005 8:31 am

Has anyone had a problem with a Saitek Cyborg 3D joystick.  I have uninstalled etc, re calibrated the lot.  And what happens is on take off, in a large plane after a while, move the joystick to level flight the plane goes into a near vertical dive and then when flying a small learjet, it won't stop climbing.

Do I need to get to a higher altitude bfore I can level off or is there something else wrong?????????

Trim settings.  The fact that you're not experiencing the same thing with all planes tells me that it's not a hardware issue.  Adjust your trim.

Joysticks (sometimes) stop working when this happens to mine, I replace them.

P.S. I use Logitech Wingman Extreme Digital 3D (not FFB) joysticks.

If you have not checked the latest drivers and software, download them.  There is some specific information on their site about this problem.

FS9 was crashing until I downloaded the new drivers and software for XP and I have XPsp2 and FS9.1.

There is also a work around if all else.  check it out.!!

lol - you will have problems without using the trim. it is one of the most essential pieces needed to fly a plane.

I have a saitek cyborg 3d rumble Force stick and used it very contentedly for two years.  8)

Oh ya, the trim.

Mine, in default, is the bottom two buttons (bottom left and right) below the hat switch.

Trim is a real pain sometimes, but I can't imagine flying without it. I wonder if it is really possible?

Hope this helps,
