At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.
They are great for payware aircraft, but use less for freewaircraft (freewareaircraft you can't add or change your waypoints right?), and if you are doin a flight in MS Fs with a freeware and have atc vectoring you they will cancel your fligtplan if you dofly the SID/STAR
The subject states Arrival Charts and the post states Approach Charts. I don't know of any FREE online STARs except for those posted at VATsim ARTCC sites.
FREE IAPs (Initial Approach Plates worldwide) are at FSCHARTS.COM Bill P.S. These are NOT *.PDF files (like some others) and are suitable for viewing in FS9's kneeboard
Just wondering.....How do you get the charts to show up in the kneeboard....I have tried almost everything...and all I get whenever I open it is "Page Cannot Be Displayed" ??? :(

Bill P.S. Any web link (or data) can be inserted with the caveat the page does NOT OPEN IN a NEW WINDOW; this will cause FS9 to minimize from FULL-SCREEN MODE
