Making a flyable plane into AI- simple?

Postby Tom_M » Sun Jun 05, 2005 4:30 am

Quick question:

OK, say I wanted to make my Concorde an AI plane but still keep the original, I'd do the following...

- Create a copy of Concorde folder
- Change the copy's Aircraft_Type to 1 in AirEd

Is this the right way to do it?
-Games PC-

No real need to do either.

Just follw the instructions in TrafficTools to add the a/c to an existing ai flightplan or to create a new ai flightplan.

Using flyable a/c as ai can put a bigger drain on your system than a/c designed for ai only use due to their higher level of detail.

There is an ai condorde, 'aisaicon.zip', by Jon Murchison, that features AIS (animated inbuilt scenery), providing ground support vehicles, pushback tug. Also has flightplans.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.
