Default flight not staying

Postby FS_Pilot » Wed May 18, 2005 11:14 am

When i set a new flight and and tick the default box if i don't exit FS9 and restart it straight away it doesn't save. If for example i set a flight to be default then keep flying for a while and then close down fs9 then open it later it goes to the previous default flight instead of the new one. Any Ideas Please??

i think it depends on how you close FS - for instance if you hit esc, and choose end flight, it
If nature wanted a man to fly - It would have given him more money

Check that in your FS9 config file that under "SITUATION="
That the correct path and name of the flight you want as your default appear, if not change it to what you want it to be:

example:
SITUATION=C:\Documents and Settings\My Documents\Flight Simulator Files\"name of your flight you want as default"

I often found a little hitch in default flight. does not always stick if you just do it in 'save flight'.

When you save the flight, check the '...default flight' option.

Then select the flight and before 'fly' check the '....default flight' box again.

Works for me.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.
