Aircraft Carriers

Postby lizardofozz88 » Wed Mar 23, 2005 11:24 am

I downloaded the waikato carrier and the scenery is missing. Can someone who has the arrestor cables with steam launching send the file to me or post a link to where i can get it (for free hopefully).
Does anyone recommend a good carrier? I got two that really stink.

Arrestor Cables was purchased by Abacus and incorporated into Flight Deck III. It is no longer freeware and illegal to distribute. Sorry.

Well, My first quess is to check the Scenery setting and ensure it has been enabled (with a red check).

I've not used this carrier in quite a while, but I have no memory of it being a problem.

I currently use a Carrier2004. I don't remember where I got it from. I'm at work now, and don't have an internet connection at home.  I'll check and make sure it's free/shareware and then try to get it onto some floppies so I can upload it to my site.  If all goes well, I'll post a link here.

If your not too short on cash, just go and get Flight Deck III. You won't be disapointed...unless your buying it for the aircrafts...

Its well worth the 30 bucks, there is a tremendous amount of detail on the USS George Washington...

...and just a heads up, don't buy the Vietname or WWII Carrier Ops tho...or you'll want to shoot yourself :P

As a user of Flight Deck 3 I concour that the addon from Abacus is well worth the dough! Except for the cheese looking aircraft it comes with, the carrier, the catapults, and the arrestor cables is what you really pay $30 bucks for and well worth every penny!

From your first catapult launch your expression will be  ;D COOL! and to your first landing using the arrestor cables  8) you will feel like Maverick!
Its only in your mind, strong mind, strong soul and nobody can take that from you!
