Yep. Just start with the default flight and shut everything down then save the flight and make sure that the box "Make This The Default Flight" is checkmarked. Now every flight you create will be with a cold cockpit. Be aware however that some of the default large jets and a lot of freeware airplanes don't provide every instrument and control to start a plane from a cold cockpit. On these you will have to use the Cntrl+E command or edit the panels to give you the controls you need.

what i do is set the previous saved flight as the default flight... this way every time i load the game, i am where i left it earlier, so im always in one long constant flight.... which is great because now you actually have to worry about refueling and stuff... when i pull up at the gate, i always turn the aircraft cold before leaving FS... then when i pick it up later, i have a cold plane at the gate... much more realistic

another advantage is that you can leave during a flight in progress and just resume it later... without having to save and load.... (all flight plan information IS saved)

c ya
