Driveable/Landable carrier?

Postby Scottler » Fri Mar 18, 2005 8:55 pm

Hey guys....I've got a driveable carrier, but here's the question.  Is there a way to make it landable as well?  It might make for some awesome multiplayer!
Great edit, Bob.

Google it.

I've seen it discussed but haven't yet heard of anyone with a workable example yet or even a practicable idea. To make a driveable carrier you essentially make a float plane that can't take off and is shaped and sized like a carrier. FS still recognizes this as an airplane however so any attempt to land on it will result in a crash or if crash detection is turned off you will pass right through it. Landable carriers as scenery objects are simply landable buildings. You can land on them or crash into them but you can't "fly" them.
