I am sure this will be moved but you can add or remove traffic to your hearts content, but I recomend that you do not use flyable aircraft for AI traffic as some of them can really hit your frame rates hard. If you go to www.projectai.com here you can find enought traffic to fill the skies with and the planes are easy on the frame rates. Just make sure you download the PAI installer as you will needit to install the files with. You will find just about all of the major airlines here.

You can also make your own traffic. You need TTools, (http://www.simviation.com/fs2004utilities1.htm). You may also want a program to write the flightplans for you, I made one called AI flightplan calculator, There's an old version here (V.1.0.0), but there is a more up-to-date version on my website (V.1.2.4). This allows multiple flightplans to be made at once, and fixes a bug with week flightplans. I did upload it here, but it hasn't come up yet.
Yea I was interested in this myself, I was going to add more ai to my local regonal airport there are quit a few CRJ, and ERJ, and atr's there in real life but have yet to see them.
