Problem With Stuttering Speech

Hi,

Apologies if this has already been covered on the forum, but I am a newbie to FS2004, and have just installed this along with the official patch.

I am having a problem when any speech plays (pilot, ATC or instructor) in the the first word is 'stuttered'.

Although this is not a major problem, it does get irritating, and I was wondering if anybody can point me in the right direction.

As far as I know, my sound drivers are fairly up to date (audio device is built into my nForce2 motherboard).  Is there anything else I need to up date, or could it be a software setting?

Interesting... ...!

I've never mentioned it before on the Forum, but occasionally I have exactly the same problem with FS 2002, for no apparent reason... ...!
It is annoying, but it only occurs on rare occasions, most of the time it's OK... ...!
Strange...Nothing else running in the background, etc,...!
Looking forward to some suggestions on a possible cure... ...!
