what are ACARS?

Actually ACARS is an Aircraft Communication Addressing and Reporting System that uses a digital data link system transmitted via VHF radio which allows airline flight operations departments to communicate with the various aircraft in their fleet.

Thanks for that but I actually meant to say AIRACS :-X But still thanks for informing me about ACARS coz I didn't know what they were either.
Any Info on AIRACS I know they're something to do with Navigation but what?
