Newbie question: where is the logbook?

Postby Paul_UK » Wed Mar 02, 2005 10:32 am

According to the learning centre info I can get to my logbook via the 'Options' menu...... but where is that?

If that's the main menu, ie with 'Create a Flight', 'Select a Flight' etc, there is no 'Logbook' item in the list. FS is definitely logging my flights, every time I quit it asks for my comments!

TIA,

Paul

I believe it's the "options" menu you select when inside flight simulator, i.e., the menu bar at the top of the screen when sitting inside your plane (you will need to hit "alt" if using full-screen mode).
Alternatively, I believe you may also view the logbook as a text file, outside of FS.  If using XP, go to your documents folder, then "flight simulator files" (or some folder worded like that), and it will show up in there.

Hi Paul,

Welcome to Simviation by the way.

The 'options' menu is only accessible when you are actually in a flight (as far as I am aware). It is in the menu bar at the top of your screen ('Flight' Aircraft' 'World' 'Options' etc) If you fly using the 'full screen' mode then you need to press the

You will find the logbook I don' t use FS9 logbook (anymore) because it causes errors to be written to the fs9.cfg which causes FS9 to crash-to-desktop. As we say out west here: suit yourself.

FS wont start logbook until you check "log flight time" option in one of the main menus. So,if you didnt check it you dont find the logbook.
