Gauges?

Postby G7 » Tue Mar 01, 2005 8:28 am

Hi folk's...I'm back!
99.9% success on downloading 3rd party aircraft now....But!!!....Been trying to install gauges for D6SKYBUS 42 (Twotter) The aircraft and new panel shows up in the main FS9 sim but no gauges!
I have been trying to follow the instructions from PAD but find it confusing because of me running XP2 plus the onboard zipper(deleted the easy zip so as not to confuse the situation.)
I unzipped the gauge file OK and used the drag and drop method that I use for the model ie: drag gauges from' fs downloads folder'(GAUGES) into the 'Gauges folder' in the main FS9 folder.
When I open the GAUGES folder in FS9 folder the downloaded folder shows up unopened(All the rest of the gauge folders are open!)....when I open the inclusive folder it opens up in a new window and all the Twotter gauges are there....How do I get them into the opened stage along with all the rest?? ???
I have read the instructions over and over again but I just can't put my finger on the problem!

Here's how I would do it. Open the folder the gauges are in. Click Edit/Select All on the Explorer menu bar. All the selected files will now be highlighted. Right-click anywhere on the highlighted area & select Cut. Now open the FS9\Gauges folder, right-click anywhere in a clear space in the window & select Paste.

I've used this method for installing addons to all my M$ sims for the last 6 years. Installing files to the M$ sims is usually a case of moving files from one location to another.
