Well, what can I say about your ISP connection to the internet? Not much. My FS9 realworld weather works fine so you must have some security issues blocking your access to the Jepp weather server.

Regarding addon planes not showing up in the one would presume they are flyable models (many AI models do not show up in the list)

It may be your firewall especially if you have Windows XP. I don't know the settings right off but the Learning Center has info on setting up the firewall for FS 2004.

If you are using a different firewall or a router with built in firewall you will need to check out the instrucitons that came with those to set the connections correctly. Also some newer antivirus programs will restrict programs from connecting to the internet. Make sure your AV program isn't blocking FS 2004.

I had the same problem. My problem was norton firewall. Here's a trick I was lucky to come across that fixed it for me. First make sure you have no firewall rules set . For me I had Norton Personal Fireall  and it bugged me I still couldn't access weather when I had already allowed FS9 internet access.

Then, load the main menu page of FS9. Pick one of the learning center, or king's schools until you find a link where it looks for an internet connection. For me, finally Norton Firewall asked me to set the rule for FS9 internet access. Then the weather dl worked fine again after that. Sometimes the Norton firewall program doesn't kick in and really change settings until the app forces it. Hope it helps.
