What do I need to connect to vatsim I have already been to the site and I have flight simulator 2004 I have downloaded the complete pack . I just am lost with it squwkbox only works for 2002 is what it said .

Try the multiplayer forum, they are generally more knowledgeable on this subject matter than us common, simple minded singleplayer folk  ;D

If you down loaded the entire package then there is a PDF file in the down load that gives complete instructions on how to install everything . I just downloaded the entire package myself. Just go to the folder you down loaded it at open the folder and look for a folder called setup help or something like that. But every thing you need is right there.
