Weather themes.

Is it possible to create my own weather theme? If so, how?

Hi ES....You can certainly set up any sort of weather you want to fly in using the custom weather feature.....ALL aspects of FS9 weather are dealt with in the Weather section of the FS9 Learning Centre....I suggest you read and inwardly digest that section then decide for yourself which way you want to go...commoner ;)

As stated above, then just save the flight! Now you can can anyplace you want and the weather will be as you saved it, unless of course you are using the "real world weather" feature!  ;)

I read the Learning center, but it does not say how to save a weather theme, like what Bracken Dawson did to create his "Thermals" theme on page 11 of the fs2004 gliders and ultralights section, so I can create the conditions I want with just one click, rather than one million clicks.

ummm if that is what you want I believe you can go into your saved flights folder in my documents and in there after you have saved a flight you should see Flight file, as well as a *.wx file with name that matches the saved flight file..

now you should be able to rename that to be the same name as a saved flight and the weather should be what you saved in the first flight...

Actually, I'm trying to create *.wt and *.WTB files that I can put into the "flight simulator 9/weather/themes" folder.

Eugene,

If you go to the Microsoft site there is an SDK that helps you develop and save weather themes.

best,
