I've passed the Private Pilot, Commercial and Airline Transport Pilot checkrides. (after spending a whole Sat.) Instrument seems impossible when the annoying check lady keeps saying I was under a certain altitude when I never was. Some of the preceding lessons actually tells you what one needs to do for the checkrides. Some of the printed material is actually pretty good - explaining manifold pressure "complex" planes etc. and planning for short landings in a certain terrain.
FS2004 prints out your entered name in some font on the certificates so they're not really "signed". Haven't done the real thing; hoping one day I'll wisely allocate funds and "someday" to take a real lesson.
Anyone heard of or known someone who had lessons from Rod Machado , the voice of the instructor. Supposedly his real pilot training books are famous. Is Patty Wagstaff the voice of the annoying rude checkrider? Sounds similar to her demonstration aerobatics(in her Extra 300) video in FS2000. though she looks like a babe in her younger pic in one of the FS2004 info sections.
