Virtual Cockpit

OK.  It's been a while since I got FS9 and have been bothered ever since about the inability to recenter my view in the Virtual Cockpit.  In FS2002, I would press num-8 and I would be centered again.  I tried that in FS9 and nothing.  I can look any way I want by using the hat on my joystick or pressing any of the num keys, except for num-8.  Any clues?

Hit the space bar and it'll put your view point dead ahead.If you've moved your eyepoint forward or backward the backspace key will reset it to default position.
