Scenery Problem

Postby RedBaran11 » Fri Dec 24, 2004 10:06 am

Hello,
I have a problem with my scenery. Whenever I play FS2004, there are always large squares that don't load the scenery. I have a screenshot to show the problem. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks!Image

What are your system specs?
what video card do you use?
Where are you preferances set?
Give us a little info here I am sure some one here can help you out or point you the right way. 8)

HP Pavilion 1.80 ghz
Windows XP
GeForece2 MX/MX 400
1 gb ram
20 gb hard drive

I tried setting the preferences to minimal, and it still had the same problem.

Anything else you need to know?

yea, change the view.  They'll go away.  Happens to me all the time.  For example, you're in VC and the squares come up.  Just tap numpad 4 (or whatever) to briefly look out to your left (or right, or back, whatever works) and when your view comes back they'll be gone.

Is there any other more permanent solution so that they don't keep coming up?

Beefhole,
I tried your idea, but it didn't work to well, and the problem is very extensive.

With your system specs, you shouldn't see that. Try setting EVERYTHING at minimal (weather, AI traffic, etc)... if it still happens, you may have a hardware problem. That's all I can offer you, not being  an expert. Good luck...

I know this problem (not to this extent but I have this problem) and I'm pretty sure it's not settings-related, it's hardware related.
