Postby forfun » Sun Dec 19, 2004 11:00 pm

Hey
I gotta problem with the waves and water effects in fs9, the waves and wakes are squares!.

I don't know why, all settings are maxed and it's only been like it since i reinstalled. So it's not the computer.

Any tips?

Any kinds of add-on water effects?

What are the water effects set for in the display settings?

Have you tried changing these settings?

What video card are you running? Have you tried new video card drivers?

What version DirectX are you running...?
(Type "dxdiag" in run box.. ;-)

Don't know what to tell you yet...;-)

Whoa slow down lol :D

Direct X version 9.0c
Radeon 9600 Excalibur (SE or somethin like that, the computer ppl gave me better than we ordered i think)

I have tried changing all the water effects with no result.
All settings are maxed (except when it says land and water effects, it can only be half for water and i tried it the other way with no result)

I havent updated the drivers that may be an idea, except i bought the comp this year and it worked fine until last week or so.

And finally, no i dont have any add on water effects(didnt even know you could, cool)

cheers ;D

Try updating the drivers and see what that gives you.  If that doesnt work, try to make a full reinstall again, making sure every file and registry entry is deleted.

Hope that helps, good luck  :)
