*HELP* File error message

Postby Bell206freak » Tue Nov 23, 2004 4:19 am

Ok, after I installed the scenery for the Hoffstadt Bluffs helipads, I began to run into problems with Flight Simulator.

It'll start up fine, and then right after you've selected your flight parameters (i.e. starting airport, aircraft type, weather and time of day), it'll load and then right when the cockpit view opens up, I get this error that forbids further play of FS9. it reads "FILE ERROR: Error Reading from File" with an OK button. Clicking this button closes out FS9 completely and it's been doing this for about a day now.  Also, when it does this, some textures won't load on aircraft. In some instances, textures on't even load at all - interior or exterior. Could I have inadvertently screwed something up?

Even doing a system restore won't solve the problem.

Did all this start after you installed that scenery and does it only happen at that new scenery location? Did you install the scenery correctly and then activate it correctly in the scenery library?

Did you install the scenery manually or did it come in an auto-install program?

If everthing was done correctly, no probs. on installation and you still get those errors, then I suggest remvoing the scenery from the scenery library and see if you still get the errors.
