Screenshots?

Postby matthew954 » Mon Nov 15, 2004 5:43 pm

Ok, I've asked some stupitd questions in the past, but I forget how to take screenshots.  Can anyone tell me how I can do it?  I just finished a basic repaint of the Kirk Ollson F-16 and forget how to take pics of it.  I'd appreciate any help.

I use Ifranview but I think you can also hit "print screen" on your keyboard, too be honest I don't know where the shot will be put after hitting "print screen"

I think I figured it out, when you "print screen" it goes to your clipboard you then paste it in a editing program.

Speaking of the "clipboard" is there any way to see what is stored on it???

When you hit the 'Print Screen' key, a screenshot is placed on the clipboard, where you can open up and paste into any image editor ;)

I use Irfanview too for single shots. You can also use the Windows Paint program. If you want to take a number of screen shots though, it might get tedious to pause the simulator and open a image tool then past it in and save it. For this type of work a screen shot utility is much easier. There's lots of them available. I use FScreen and YAFScreen (Yet Another FScreen). And there are others many freeware. Just check the download section under "Misc.".

Funny you should mention that. I remember having a Clipboard Viewer on a previous machine. I found it in the System Tools. You have to enable it from Control Panel/Add/Remove Programs. This is on Win98/Me. Not sure about WinXP. I took this shot the old-fashioned way & pasted it into IrfanView.

There's plenty of automatic multiple screengrab utilities posted here at SimV & all over the Web. MultiGrab is my own favourite. Been using it for years since it was first released. http://www.mnwright.btinternet.co.uk/
